(Our Castle Rock Sand): An unwashed sand that is coarse in texture and brownish-gray in color.
USAGE:
Used to stabilize pavers, stepping stones and flagstone. Can be used as pipe bedding or an ingredient in concrete. Helps with drainage in soil. Not recommended for sand boxes due to being unwashed and dusty.
DESCRIPTION:
1 1/2" smooth round washed rock. Screened material that is uniform in size. Will not pack.
USAGE:
Often used as pipe bedding, French drains and decorative landscape. Not for driveways or parking areas.

5/8" crushed rock with fines. Light grey or black aggregate that has been crushed. Fines work as a binder for compaction. Packs down tightly and holds in place very well.
USAGE:
Often used as a base for residential driveways. Commonly used in walkways or parking areas. Great for base material under flagstone, retaining walls or concrete. Can be used to fill potholes.

1 1/4" clean crushed aggregate without fines. Light grey or black fractured rock 1" to 1 1/4" in size. Will not pack but will stay in place better than a round rock.
USAGE:
Often used as a top course for muddy driveways or parking areas. Can be used for pavement sub-base, foundation material, draining applications, behind retaining wall or decorative landscape.

DESCRIPTION:
A dark fine material made from composted yard waste. A locally produced registered Organic (WSDA Organic Food program) green-waste compost. Green waste compost is manufactured under rigorous guidelines of Dept. Of Ecology. Compost is produced using state of the art technology which monitors for oxygen and temperature throughout the active composting timeframe. Under strict guidelines, compost is tested and reported back to local permitting agencies. Current test results available from the permitting agencies upon request at any time.
USAGE:
Enriches soil for vegetable gardens & flower beds, helping retain moisture and suppress plant diseases and pests. Reduces the need for chemical fertilizers. Encourages the production of beneficial bacteria and fungi that break down organic matter to create humus, a rich nutrient-filled material. Can be used as mulch top dressing if desired. Disclaimer: Compost is a recycled product used in many of our soil mixes. Even with quality control standards, recycled products may contain a small percentage of foreign materials such as plastic, metal, and glass. Please use recycled materials in appropriate applications. Handle with care. Glove use is recommended.
