3-Way Topsoil
DESCRIPTION:
An all-purpose native topsoil blend, containing screened sandy loam, sand and compost. Suggested uses new landscape beds, Filling low spots (top dressing may be desirable) NOTES: general landscape use; use for berming, starting from scratch new landscape material - not for new seed lawns. Ok for sod. Will contain small bits of wood, pebbles, etc. that are common to native soil blends.
USAGE:
Can be used to fill spots and low points for new grass seed or sod, when used in conjunction with proper soil amendments. Works well as a berm layer for raised beds. Works well in Garden applications when mixed with one of Walrath's popular soil amendments, such as Moo Magic or Super Doo.
Premium Garden Blend
DESCRIPTION:
A Walrath signature blend of native topsoil, compost, nufiber manure, and fine and coarse sands. This soil is designed to be plant-ready for all garden types. Use for vegetables, flowers, containers, or raised beds, this mixture contains beneficial microbes to ensure plants have a strong foundation for exceptional growth.
USAGE:
Contains necessary drainage and microbes for healthy vegetable gardening. Use for a strong foundation for tree and shrub planting. Great used in raised beds for stunning flower gardens.
Turf Booster
DESCRIPTION:
A proprietary mixture of premium sand products and naturally processed plant fibers, this premier top dressing helps to aid in lawn growth and long-term health. This mix combines necessary textural and mineral elements for a strong lawn foundation. Application Rates: Rake 1/4” to 1/2" deep Turf Booster over your Lawn. (1 Cubic Yard will cover approximately 1000sf at ¼” deep) Spring and Fall applications recommended.
USAGE:
For any new lawn, pair with a starter fertilizer for optimum nutrient absorption. This is because compost is slow-release, better to support existing healthy lawn applications. Provides essential nutrients for existing lawn health. Apply twice yearly for optimal lawn feeding and seasonal protection. Perfect for leveling low spots.
House Blend Potting Soil
DESCRIPTION:
A proprietary mixture of organic soils, compost, volcanic sand, and organic fertilizer, this potting soil is ideal for container planting. The composition promotes healthy drainage and water absorption, allowing for strong healthy plants.
USAGE:
Use for container vegetable gardens. Great for flower pots and container plantings of all sizes.
Mushroom Compost
DESCRIPTION:
Spent mushroom growing medium, spent grains from brewing, grape must from wine making. Very fine material, used in place of peat for overseeding. A little goes a long way; use 1/4" for top dressing. Top dressing existing lawns or for overseeding. Seasonal - spring and fall.
USAGE:
A great source of microbes and nutrients. It can be used to enrich current soil or as a standalone mulch. Sustainable alternative to peat moss top dressing.
Organic Super Doo
DESCRIPTION:
An organic compost mixture containing a blend of cow manure and sawdust. This soil amendment offers a source of beneficial, slow-release nutrients to your garden or lawn application. *Not certified organic OR registered with the organic food program.
USAGE:
Often used to improve the soil composition and nutrients in vegetable gardens. Often used in flower beds to help encourage growth and improve bloom rate.
Moo Magic
DESCRIPTION:
A proprietary blend of green waste compost and processed dairy fibers, both are registered with the organic food program. Mixed for optimum soil health. This mix introduces a wide range of beneficial microorganisms that are necessary for a balanced soil system. The intentional blend imparts a wide mixture of beneficial microbes to help prevent disease.
USAGE:
Often used to improve existing soil in flower beds and vegetable gardens. Aids in preparing soil for future planting needs. Often used to fill low spots and revitalize lawn areas needing spot treatment. Often used as a soil amendment prior to laying fresh sod or grass seed.
Organic Compost
DESCRIPTION:
A dark fine material made from composted yard waste. A locally produced registered Organic (WSDA Organic Food program) green-waste compost. Green waste compost is manufactured under rigorous guidelines of Dept. Of Ecology. Compost is produced using state of the art technology which monitors for oxygen and temperature throughout the active composting timeframe. Under strict guidelines, compost is tested and reported back to local permitting agencies. Current test results available from the permitting agencies upon request at any time.
