COVID-19 Response
Exemption of Essential Businesses / Critical Transportation Sector including Supply Chain Businesses
To Whom it May Concern,T. E. Walrath Trucking, Inc., Walrath Landscape Supply, and Walrath Marine recognizes Governor Inslee’s “Stay Home, Stay Healthy” mandate to shut down all non-essential businesses. However, trucking industry, marine industry, and garden store retail employees are exempt from these orders under guidance provided by the Office of Governor Inslee because they provide critical transportation and retail services and are an essential business. All freight is considered essential, regardless of commodity, and will be able to operate under these restrictions.
We are taking the mandate very seriously and are only providing services to those businesses that we are confident fall in line with the mandate. Due to the nature and critical needs of the public, the Walrath Companies will continue its regular operations under this authority as long as our customers fall under the essential business categories.
We are also seriously committed to maintaining the health of our employees and customers and have implemented a strict Social Distancing Policy for all employees that is in compliance with all requirements issued from health and government officials for safe employment and retail operations, inclusive of social distancing and disinfecting of all high touch surfaces.
We are continually reviewing our procedures, as well as all guidance provided by healthcare and government officials related to the safety of all employees and customers and are committed to making all necessary improvements for the safety of all.
Please see the attached links from the Office of Governor Inslee for more information. We will continually update these links when relevant information is posted.
We appreciate your concern.
Sincerely,
The Walrath Team
